The ‘house in the clouds’ is a 12,000-square foot luxury residence which belongs to the owners of the club. Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen’s 126m Mega Yacht OCTOPUS finds wreck of Japan’s biggest warship

As reported by the guardian here, Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen’s 126m mega yacht Octopus has reportedly discovered the wreck of the Japanese battleship Musashi. The Japanese Navy’s biggest warship was found at the bottom of the sea in the Philippines, 70 years after US forces sank it.

Luxury expedition motor yacht Octopus, also fitted with an exploration submarine, is said to have found the Musashi on Monday, March 2, 2015. The battleship was one kilometer deep on the floor of the Sibuyan Sea, where American warplanes sank it on October 24, 1944.

As stated by Forbes Magazine, the Seattle-born Allen, 62, who founded Microsoft with Bill Gates in 1975, is the 51st richest person in the world, with a net worth of $17.5bn.

Johnny Depp renames his $33 Million Modern Classic Superyacht Vajoliroja

It has been reported by inquisitr here that Johnny Depp has presumably renamed his $33 million modern classic superyacht Vajoliroja as a wedding gift for his new wife, Amber Heard. While the name Vajoliroja was a combination of Johnny’s family’s names, Va for Vanessa, Jo for Johnny, LiRo for his daughter Lily Rose and Ja for his son Jack, the new name ‘Amphitrite’ stands for the Greek goddess of the sea.

Measuring 47m in length over all, Vajoliroja yacht is a modern classic luxury superyacht, built by Proteksan Turquoise in Turkey in 2001. The yacht went through a complete refit in 2008.

Here are some well known luxury resorts, hotels and private islands etc where famous celebrities (actors, musicians, politicians, movie directors etc) ‘hang out’ on their own private vacations.  This is where the ‘big names’ enjoy their down time.  

I have also included a link to the actual resort websites so you can have a look at the place in more detail – and book yourself a vacation, if you like!.  Most of these places are very exclusive 5 star resorts and hugely expensive (like Necker Island) and well out of reach for most of us.  But some of them are actually quite reasonable (like Canel Bay).

Private Island Cayo Espanto, Belize – Tiger Woods, Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart

This private island hideaway is relaxed with a ‘no news, no shoes’ policy. Mobile phones are also a ‘no no’. The rooms are equipped with quadraphonic hi-fi systems concealed behind the simple rattan walls. When Madonna and her family were on vacation here Soneva Fushi she reportedly scribbled “five definitions of heaven” in the guestbook and she came back again.
